Preventing Trauma and Youth Suicide During COVID-19 and Beyond: Promoting Mental Wellbeing Through In-School and Out-of-School Supports on 10/14

11:30am on October 14

This Prevention Institute webinar will explore how agencies and organizations that support the wellbeing of youth both in school and out of school have adapted to the current context. Groups are finding new opportunities to authentically engage with youth in ways that elevate strengths, connect to culture and are trauma-informed. As the school year gets underway, local governments and community-based partners across the country are seeking to increase support for young people and prevent adverse childhood experiences and youth suicide. The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted the lives of millions of children across the US. The education system has pivoted toward online learning and hybrid models in a way it has never done before, out-of-school activities have been suspended, and families are facing increased stressors. This means young people need alternative opportunities for social connection.

Continuous Evidence Building through Small Tests of Change on 10/14

1pm-2pm on Wednesday, October 14

Project Evident strives to put practitioners in the driver’s seat when it comes to building evidence for their programs. This doesn’t mean they need to become statisticians or data wizards. Even small programs without data expertise can run small tests of change to continuously improve—and build evidence for—their programs. This webinar will give a practical overview to get you started on continuous improvement.
