·         West Sacramento: NEW Grab-N-Go Meal Distribution Updates for 2020-21 from Washington Unified School District (WUSD)

The WUSD Food Services Department is committed to providing our families with opportunities to pick up nutritious meals of lunch and breakfast through a mobile walk up or drive-thru meal service option for enrolled WUSD students. This Child Mind Institute talks about how to use positive attention (instead of negative attention) to change behavior.

·         Talking With Children About Race

Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) shares tips from Professor Sarah Gaither on how parents can educate their children on racism, and how those conversations contribute to child development and community engagement.

·         Perinatal Materials for Parents Related to Opioids and Substance Use Disorder

The Mom and Baby Substance Exposure Initiative from Addiction Free CA has lots of materials that can be shared with pregnant and new parents about opioids and other substances. You will need to sign in to the Resource Library to view the materials, but once you do, information is available in English (several resources are also in Spanish) related to the following areas:

o   Getting Help

o   Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT)

o   Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS)

o   Opioid Use Disorder

o   Pregnancy Care and Delivery for Women and Babies Exposed to Opioids
