The Foster and Kinship Care Education Services program presents a workshop where Nurse Dorothy and her young adult daughter will provide an overview to the concerns of stress, and how it affects the developing brain and the increased likelihood for depression, anxiety and suicidality- and importantly-methods for coping. Participants will also learn a variety of approaches that have been demonstrated to protect against the effects of stress and improve mental health, particularly in teens and for caregivers.
