Event at Sacramento State: A Trauma-Informed Response to Human Trafficking Victims

 

"My Sister's House is hosting their annual conference discussing how  to be trauma informed when working with victims of human trafficking.This conference is open to law enforcement, victim advocates, services providers, educators, community leaders, and concerned citizens. CEUs are anticipated. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

This year we have invited:


*Human Trafficking Survivors, who will share their stories from the 
  perspective of Sex and Labor exploitation.
     *Suamhirs Piraino- Guzman- National Survivor Network, CAST
     *Angela Guanzon, National Survivor Network, CAST.
     *Marti MacGibbon, National Speaker and Author of, Never Give 
     in to Fear: Laughing All the Way Up from Rock Bottom. 
*California's Attorney General, Xavier Becerra  Key Note 
*Supervising Deputy Attorney General and lead prosecutor for Back 
  Page case -Maggy Krell
*Interagency Trauma Experts: Therapists; Service Providers; 
  HealthCare; Law Enforcement; Education.
