‘Creating Safe Spaces’ features local youths [Davis Enterprise]

Be The Change Through Unity programs and the Yolo County Office of Education are collaborating to present “Creating Safe Spaces,” a program designed for educators, public agencies and civic-minded, caring adults.

Participants will hear from leaders in the African-American, Latino and Muslim communities on issues of equity and community support, networking with others to continue “building a resilient Yolo” and receiving and sharing tools to help youths, families and clients in the current social and political climate.

The event will take place Thursday, Feb. 23, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Office of Education Conference Center, 1280 Santa Anita Court, Suite 120, in Woodland.
