Brake Light Repair Event - tomorrow!

On Saturday, 6/26, from 10am to 1pm, CommuniCare is hosting a break light repair event, provided by NorCal Resist! The event will be located at the Hansen Family Clinic in Woodland – 215 West Beamer St. See attached flyer.

What is a break light event?

Community members can quickly visit and have their taillights (and headlights!) replaced or repaired free of charge. Repairing your vehicle's lights is an important and easy way you can minimize your chances of being pulled over and avoid unwanted police encounters.

Why is this important?

A burned-out brake light is one of the more common malfunctions on cars. While it may seem like an insignificant and easy problem to fix, a broken brake light brings attention to drivers and could result in unwanted police encounters, which can be threatening and unsafe to people of color, as well as undocumented individuals and families.
