African American Student Leadership Conference on 2/1/20-PLEASE RECRUIT STUDENTS!

Please invite high school students to join the Yolo County African American Student Leadership Conference on February 1, 2020 at Sacramento City College. Please see the attached flyer for more information and to register.

Message from Mariah Ernst-Collins of YCOE: I sit on the African American Leadership conference committee. Currently, there is approximately 55 youth registered, primarily from the Washington Unified School District. We would love to see the number of youth attendees increased and representing all of our districts. Please reach out to the youth and school personnel to share this opportunity. We can provide transportation assistance, if it is a barrier. Please see attached registration (you must register) and flyer for additional information. And please recruit as many youth as possible to join this conference!

Why This Is Important For Youth: This conference be a transformational experience for youth that lays the foundation for self-efficacy, leadership, and cultural awareness. This allows for strengthening relationships with self and others, building strong communities, and creating a platform for youth to thrive.
