On Wednesday night, Tracy Fauver did a presentation for parents of kids in the Davis Joint Unified School District. Gail Kennedy, who was at her presentation, will provide more details. She said Tracy knocked their socks off.

Yesterday morning, Gail and I had a great meeting with Davis Joint Unified School DistrictSuperintendent Winfred Roberson, who's very interested in trauma-informed schools.

This morning, I did a presentation for the amazing people of the Yolo Children's Alliance, who work with families with probably have some of the highest ACE scores in the county. Gail came with me (thanks!). We invited them to attend our next meeting on Feb. 20. Thanks for setting this up, Natalie Audage!  (And I forgot to take a photo...again.)

Yep, Tracy gave a fabulous overview of ACEs with a focus on trauma-informed schools, highlighting the work school in Walla Walla.  And she included data from DJUSD about the percentage of students who feel engaged and feel they know an adult they can do to should they need to on campus (much lower than what we would like!).  Tracy is away this week but we'll hope to get her slides up here soon!
