Promoting Holiday Cohesiveness

The holiday season is known for families friends gathering to share with one another in love and tradition. With that being said, there are several ways individuals can make these moments memorable. Here are additional ways both family and friends can make the most of their holiday traditions.

1.     Consider going deeper into familial culture and tradition by selecting activities that promote togetherness. Harp on events that share traditional recipes, or family stories that promote meaningful and warm experiences.

2.     Establish modern family traditions that are suitable for each individual family member. Those can range from attending religious events, brunches, caroling, board games, or dressing up in matching pajamas. The opportunities are endless, and provide close-knit family traditions that will last a lifetime.

3.     Reduce holiday stress by choosing activities that promote overall wellness and ease the stress of the holiday season. Create a strategy to begin preparing early for the holiday season to avoid burnout.

4.     Create a holiday of thankfulness. Share in activities that promote a greater sense of gratitude amongst family members and friends. You may not have everything perfect, but participating in events that promote unity and thankfulness will allow a greater sense of self, and family cohesiveness.
