Re: Social and Emotional Education Bill - will this help school communities?

Alicia St. Andrews ·
Yes! The Compton lawsuit is huge. The momentum is building! As we've covered in previous stories on the education front, school wide transformation is most effective when social emotional learning, restorative, and trauma-informed approaches are interwoven into every level of the system, from janitor to teachers to students to parents to principals. Check out the links in the Compton story for more info.

Re: San Diego Trauma-Informed Guide Team - May 4, 2018 Meeting Minutes

Jaime J. Romo, Ed.D. ·
I have been away for too long. I am now working with Seaport Home Health and Hospice as hospice chaplain. We have the potential to grow and impact many families in the county. I intend to help our organization to be a real trauma informed agency and have the support of my CEO and Director of Patient Care Services (and colleagues). I look forward to joining you all on July 6 to reconnect, learn and share. Where will the meeting be? Thanks. Peace, Jaime

This is a great article, thanks for writing it Jen! I wonder if Dr. Weit is able to share her screening tool for us to review and if so, when? Did she mention anything about that?

So sorry to have missed the meeting! Sounds like it was wonderful, as always! Our denomination had an online Annual Conference which meant zooming from 7 AM until usually 8:30 PM Thursday Friday and Saturday… Plus Wednesday evening and Sunday morning! Is there a recording of the meeting available, perhaps? I did see the document of the meeting minutes, And perhaps simply did not notice a link for a recording. Hugs and blessings to all you wonderful people!🤗❤️🌈☮️
