Re: Darkness to Light Stewards of Children Training in SD
Wish I could attend! Back in 2010 I co-authored the San Francisco Adolescent Health Working Group Sexual Health Toolkit Module . Now as a parent of young child, I have found the D arkness to Light resources to be just what I needed for this age and stage, for my own parenting and to share with other parents seeking info on the subject. Thank you for your stellar work!

Re: Who are the homeless? (sandiegouniontribune.com)
Through the Arizona Trauma Institute, I am working in Phoenix at the main resource center downtown to integrate the more compassionate, understanding approach we refer to as Trauma Sensitive Practices. To realize the implications, as Jane stated, it is so important that we collect data on how transitioning to a less punitive approach to services creates favorable outcomes. We will be involving all parties including those who are being served in the facility in this process. What an exciting...

Re: SDTIGT 7/10/15 Meeting Minutes
Hi folks! Great post Pam! I am going to add it to the SDTIGT Collections on the SD group home page (left side). To do so in the future, once you create a blog, you can go to the right side of the page, click Collection(s), and click San Diego Trauma-Informed Guide Team. Then all the SDTIGT posts will be accessible via that Collection. Questions? Just let me or Dana know!

Re: Minutes from San Diego Trauma Informed Guide Team (SD-TIGT) March 3, 2017 Meeting
Thank you so much for keeping good minutes of the meetings. I appreciate being able to follow the progress of this group. There are so many parallel themes to the work in San Diego and where I find myself in Utah. Attached is some of the work going on in the Trauma Resiliency Collaborative. Debbie

Re: Our posts here show up in Google
Hi Christy, we'll try to do a better job distinguishing the difference between our public San Diego County (CA) ACEs Connection group vs. our private SD-TIGT Membership . I believe you are a member of both. Anything that is shared in the SD-TIGT Membership group is ONLY viewed by the 34 members of the group and no one else. We have a Resource Committee meeting on Monday and I'll bring up your concerns, so hopefully people can feel more free to share and dialogue within our private group.

Re: A San Diego Principal Takes on Trauma (6 Minutes - Health Happens Here)
Any experience using Theatre to help the kids speak anonymously, but as part of a group, about their lives? For instance, "Hey, have you guys ever written a play? No, well we're going to write a play today about a kid growing up in a house where someone is getting hurt. What should the kid's name be? And who else lives in the house? What are their names? And what are they like?" Etc. "Hey, I'm not speaking about ME. We're writing a Play. This is make-believe! "
