Summary: Research project undertaken by Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) looking at youth aggression and violence against parents. Data was generated through conversations with young people, semi structured interviews with mothers, interviews and a focus group with practitioners. Findings include: young people could be both the victim and perpetrator; parents underestimated the impact of family violence on children; and the effects of working with domestic violence for practitioners was significant.
