Hi Erica I am sending your question to some colleagues who have thought a lot about your question - but my gut sense is that the "How Brains are Built" video is a great place to start rather than the Nadine Burke Harris video, which is fantastic, but as you suspect may be a bit much for parents at first.

Hi, Alyson, I am looking to spread information that is relevant to all groups to other groups. I think this would be great for the Michigan page. We need to understand that there is a lot of sexual abuse of young girls and boys in all communities rural or urban and I would like to share with our group members how all forms of abuse eventually lead to very negative outcomes. The best email address I can find on their website appears to be: info@instituteforsafefamilies.org The Research and Evaluation Group at Public Health Management Corporation may have the data itself, but I'm not sure if they can release it without approval from Safe Families. They might be a good second choice to contact if you can't get through to...
