Iowa ACEs Action connects individuals and communities across Iowa who are reducing adverse childhood experiences and the impact of toxic stress. This collaborative online community serves as the venue for sharing resources and best practices, and for launching discussion and open communication across all regions of our state.

Iowa Ideas will be a nonpartisan, statewide learning experience designed to explore the key questions and big ideas that will shape the future of Iowa.

Created by The Gazette, Iowa Ideas will include events around the state and a series of magazines, all leading up to an inaugural two-day conference in Cedar Rapids in September 2017. Seven key topics - each crucial to Iowa - will be explored.

Engaged citizens, community advocates and industry leaders are invited to join us. What's your idea?

The K-12 education symposium will focus on how classrooms are being designed and used much differently in teaching, how the focus is shifting to individual learning, the impact of adverse childhood experiences has in classrooms and how we can address it. We’ll look at how the education system is designed and how it may need to change in coming years.
