On Wednesday, January 21, 2015, the Iowa Senate Human Resources Committee heard a presentation on Adverse Childhood Experiences and were asked to provide leadership in policymaking to prevent ACEs and promote resiliency. Speakers included:
- Leslie Wright, United Way of East Central Iowa
- Dr. Amy Shriver, Pediatrician at Blank Children's Hospital
- Anne Starr, Orchard Place
- John Parmeter, Family Representative
The presentation was organized by the ACEs Advocacy Coalition in Iowa.
