Representatives from statewide public and private entities as well as local trauma coalitions joined together to build partnerships to advance shared knowledge and collective action in addressing childhood trauma, toxic stress, and promoting positive health.

The event was moderated by Leslie Wright at United Way of East Central Iowa and speakers included:

  • Matt Mendenhall, Royal Neighbors of America: Collective Impact
  • Prairie High School student video presentation
  • Sarah Welch, Prevent Child Abuse Iowa and Lisa Cushatt, Central Iowa ACEs: Connections Matter campaign
  • Frank Grijalva, Midwest Trauma Services Network

The event was coordinated by the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science at University of Iowa, led by Elizabeth Swanton, MPH, Dr. Edith Parker, and Dr. Corinne Peek-Asa.
