Resilient Georgia’s ACEs Prevention & Trauma-Informed Efforts Statewide Landscape Scan: Chapter Two

Resilient Georgia’s end goal is to create a statewide integrated behavioral health system by making Georgia a trauma informed state. About two years ago our Executive Board and partners identified the need for a backbone organization that would help convene stakeholders, connect resources and organizations and remove barriers in this space.

One of our first priorities was to identify and celebrate all the good work that is and has already been done in our state. Over the last several months our organization has been working hard to convene and connect stakeholders from across the state that work to prevent Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and increase Trauma Informed awareness.

The first chapter of our statewide landscape scan reviewed ACEs/Trauma Informed Research Across Georgia Peer Reviewed Publications.

Chapter Two of our statewide landscape scan provides an overview of child and adolescent behavioral health services available across the state, and outlines some of our workforce and access issues in Georgia. It also highlights the regional work our regional grantee coalitions, as well as other local coalitions, faith-based efforts and community organizations are doing to prevent ACEs and increase trauma informed awareness in Georgia.

Chapter 3 of our statewide landscape scan focuses on trauma informed trainings available in Georgia. Chapter 4 will outline ACEs prevention and trauma informed efforts underway in early care, after school, school and college settings and will be posted soon.

We welcome all feedback, updates and expertise at info@resilientga.org.
