A Message of Hope by Brian Semsem

Good morning friends,

I hope this message finds you all safe and doing well. 2020 has proven to be a very difficult and challenging year. Many of us are ready to turn the page on 2020, looking to the new year with great hope and expectation for better things in 2021. The capacity to behold a hopeful tomorrow, today, is the very essence of resilience.

Research has demonstrated that one of the key aspects of developing and building individual resilience is to create the kind of environments and structures that cultivate community resilience through a felt sense of belonging, acceptance, and safety.

The Trauma & Resilience Network is one of those environments and structures by which we seek to cultivate community resilience in Fresno County. We hope that you will join us this Friday, November 20th for our regular monthly T&R Network meeting from 8:30 am to 10:10 am.

We will be reviewing our current work here in 2020, while looking toward building our momentum into 2021 as we continue to develop, build, and innovate our collaborative work through the network.

This month we are excited to have two guest speakers, Clare Reidy and Leslie Lieberman from the Health Federation of Philadelphia. They lead conversations and share their work with ACEs Trauma and Resilience Networks in Philadelphia and across the nation.
