Toolkits for child welfare and juvenile justice agencies to help young people heal and thrive during and after natural disasters (Child Trends Webinar)

Join Child Trends for a webinar on Thursday, September 30, at 12:00 pm ET to learn about two new toolkits developed for child welfare and juvenile justice staff and administrators. The toolkits—created by Child Trends in partnership with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network and with support from the Annie E. Casey Foundation—provide evidence- and trauma-informed guidance for helping youth heal during and after natural disasters.

Presenters:

  • Dr. Jessica Dym Bartlett, MSW, PhD is a research scholar in the early childhood research area at Child Trends who focuses on promoting children’s social and emotional well-being and mental health in the context of serious trauma and adversity.
  • Dr. Rebecca Vivrette, PhD is a research scientist in the early childhood research area at Child Trends whose work emphasizes partnering with families, providers, and communities to promote nurturing relationships between children and their caregivers—especially for families experiencing trauma and adversity.
