Donna's book came in the post yesterday.   I've been reading it avidly.  Can't bear to put it down.  It fills in so many gaps in my knowledge.  I know now what the expression soul murder means to me.  I know now my rage is justified.  I know not to hold back now because it is safe for me to express my rage in surroundings which are non violent.

Donna, thank you for this.  Absolutely.  A huge shock in fact.  One that sent tremors of moral indignation rage and terror through me.   I am having to take breaks from reading your book because while I want to KNOW, the very act of knowing can be very PAINFUL.  So much so I've had to read Elisabeth Kubler Ross in between pages of your book.   My wounds are far deeper than I first thought.  I know there is an end in sight around epigenetics and plasticity I hold that thought within,  the trouble is I have had multiple traumas and losses in both childhood and adult hood and I sometimes have to take very little steps.  The rage I felt when I went back through my medical history and identified auto immune disorder after auto immune disorder, then several pieces of a jigsaw fell into place.   I have to deal with the disgust and outrage intermingled with un integrated grief.   It's a long road but I am walking in the grass now a sign of growth and healing to come.   Thank you Donna.

Judith, thanks for this -- I think the big "aha" moment when we realize that the past play a role in our present suffering is so full of emotion.  People have described it to me as a lightbulb moment, the moment that the earth seemed to shift on its axis, the missing piece as to why they've felt for so long that they've been struggling against a seemingly impossible tide of chronic emotional and physical challenges.  And then, after the anger, the hope of healing. I hope this page can help us all share our ideas and strategies to find healing. I made sure the book focused on what we can do, starting wherever we find ourselves now.
