Trauma, Parenting & Challenging Behaviors

During this 2-hour presentation, Melissa Bernstein, PhD, will explore the impact of trauma on parenting. Dr. Bernstein will discuss strategies for helping parents both identify and respond to challenging behaviors exhibited by children exposed to trauma. The webinar is intended for professionals in child abuse prevention agencies working with and/or supporting caregivers of children exposed to trauma.

About the Presenter:

In her role at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, Melissa Bernstein, PhD, directs the Advancing California’s Trauma-Informed Systems (ACTS) and Trauma-Informed Licensing Team (TILT) Initiatives. Her research centers around supporting systems in planning for, implementing, and sustaining Trauma-Informed change that aligns with best practice and science.
