The Center for Youth Wellness is excited to announce our third ACEs Aware webinar on February 24 at Noon PT/3pm ET. Gatanya Arnic, CYW's Chief Executive Officer, will discuss how cultural and racial differences can impact ACEs screening and response.

Gatanya will lead a discussion of how the biases inherent in the medical system, as well as personal biases, could manifest in screening and treatment for ACEs and toxic stress, and how to understand these biases so they don't cause further harm.

The objectives of this webinar are:

  • Explore ways to integrate equity into screening and mitigation efforts
  • Provide case study about cultural and racial differences and ACEs
  • Discuss implications of ACEs screening and long-term health outcomes
  • Review equity and motivational interviewing
