Re: This veteran found a creative way to talk about his PTSD with his child. (upworthy.com)

Thanks Cissy! Such a powerful book for families and in the article, Seth shared that his wife (also a veteran) wrote a book "Why Is Mom So Mad?". Staggering to know 1 out of 3 troops returning home develop PTSD, and less than 40% seek help... We (society) must do more to help those suffering heal.

Just ordered and am listening to this great audio program on how unresolved developmental trauma causes much heartache and challenges in intimate relationships, especially for ACE's ! The good news is Dr. Poole Heller shares solutions on how to recognize and heal these attachment issues, enabling us to be able to experience the kind of connection, support and love we all desire and deserve. Thanks for posting Dana!!

This movie was SO GOOD. It was hard to watch in a good way. It was honest, realistic, and showed how / why those of us Parenting with ACEs can't always just do things differently even when we wish we could. I loved the honesty, the support group scenes, ALL THE TYPES of treatment, all the work, and though it's only one woman's story it does show parenting and I hope, will usher a REALLY overdue conversation with and by and about parents who are parenting with ACEs.
