Building "Piece" of Mind --From the AAP working Group on Early Brain and Childhood Development. I also use these handouts. I listed them in a Resource below. Does a history of ACEs correspond with poorly controlled Diabetes?
Dear Colleagues, I am working with a group of primary care doctors in England who specialise in Diabetes management. We have a hypothesis that emotional distress associated with higher ACE scores will lead to poorly controlled diabetes due to the use of food as a way of coping with emotional distress. I'm wondering if folks are familiar with any resource or research for a trauma responsive approach to pediatric physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy? PACES in Pediatric Practice
I hav just joined this group and am excited to find a community exists around PACES in pediatrics. I am wondering if there are any organizations or groups in your communities that focus on the implementation of trauma informed care in pediatric clinical practice as it relates to their patient’s emotional and behavioral health.
