Well said and congrats! At the core, abuse and violence are actions taken by people acting out of frustration and anger, lacking internal resources, communal support and belonging. These harms are not inevitable and while they hurt at an individual level, they are the expression of a dysfunctional, failing, misdirected community - family, town, state and nation.
