More random thoughts about office ACEs screening.... Everyone needs to know their ACE score - but we don’t necessarily need to be getting ACE scores in the doctor’s office only because this could put a person on a list to be discriminated against in the future or experience the violence of forced psychiatry. Thank you, Anna. Patients' stories are so helpful to all of us clinicians. My colleagues and I are teaching students and residents about ACEs and how to talk to adults about ACEs. We are also working on a set of competencies that we hope will be adopted into medical school curricula all over the country. Physicians are starting to learn - but there is a long way to go!
