About this event

In our third conversation in this live stream series,we will discuss the American Academy of Pediatrics’ updated policy statement "Preventing Childhood Toxic Stress: Partnering with Families and Communities to Promote Relational Health." Building beyond the toxic stress framework, this seminal statement asserts that by focusing on the safe, stable and nurturing relationships (SSNR's) that buffer adversity and build resilience, pediatric care is on the cusp of a significant paradigm shift that could reprioritize clinical activities, rewrite research agenda's and realign our collective advocacy. Join us for a lively conversation with Andrew Garner, MD, PhD, FAAP, co-author of this Policy Statement and Lee Ann Savio Beers, MD, FAAP, current AAP President, about the significance and opportunities that are emergent to accelerate early relational health.
