A huge shout out for ASN, and the powerful impact they are making with students that deserve unconditional love, healing, and hope. Excellent model and example for other schools to embrace. I have yet to see trauma-informed models implemented into schools settings without a significant change in the school culture, student behavior, and increase in student learning. Thank you ASN for paving the way for other schools to embrace trauma-informed practices.

Re: ACE Scores of Educators
I recently provided my campus a brief training on Trauma and Learning. As part of this training I included information about ACEs, gave teachers the ACEs questionnaire and discussed how our own ACEs score can affect teaching/teaching styles and how educators relate to their students as well as other faculty members. My final question for them "What ACEs score do you bring into the classroom?"

As a district staff are trained to use the Adaptive Schools work, it is great to see how this programs is supporting a trauma informed mindset. It will be hugely beneficial for staff to see how Adaptive Schools and other strategies aren't all "stand-alone" and actually interweave to provide supports for students.

Hi Sami, I will do some looking around but often proxy data is used since direct academic achievement success can be tricky at the individual level. Some of the proxy data may be increased attendance (which we know leads to improved academics) or discipline rates, teacher attendance and retention, and other metrics that DO have research behind them that does connect directly to academics. The school district of Broward County, Florida has 250k kids & 250 schools - we have contracted for "suicide evaluations" of "selected" students. This is preposterous. Can and WILL PACEs please offer to provide the PACE tests and to provide a post-test evaluation and follow-up to my school district of 250K students and 15k teachers as part of a "suicide evaluation?" Hello All, We've (school district of Broward County, FL) approved & contracted for "suicide evaluations" of "selected" students. Is this correct? I have not seen the suicide-evaluations but I have sat through the full yearly psychology presentation and the PD, professional development so teachers can better identify (target) children at risk (of being a problem in the future). I came away from these experiences convinced that district "solutions" like these are a big part of the problem.

What I appreciate about this is that through offering guiding questions, it compels the reader to reflect on what they've done/considered/assumed/etc. -- rather than giving a prescriptive set of instructions. Self reflection among adults is so often overlooked to the detriment of repairing relationships with students where the focus is typically on the student to change and/or reflection on their behavior.
