Re-Opening Workshop: Helping Children Contextualize Change
Learn how to help your children/students process big changes like school re-opening ending and re-adapting after COVID-19.

About this Event

Who is this event for? This training with ChildSavers is made for parents, teachers, and caregivers of children of all ages.

What will you learn? Children and adults differ regarding their ability to contextualize change. Contextualization allows us to do many important things: tolerate pain, work towards goals, encourage ourselves, and understand contributing factors through cause-and-effect or other means of influence (association, likelihood and chance, delayed outcomes, etc.).

Together, we'll talk through children's perceptions of and reactions to change, and how to help them build resilience and flourish in the process.

Who's leading this training? Katy Reynolds, LPC, CTRP-C, is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and certified trauma and resilience practitioner (CTRP-C) on ChildSavers' School Based Services team. She serves children and families by facilitating therapy as well as supporting school staff in navigating mental health challenges at the individual, classroom, and school system levels.

Is this event free? This training is free!

Who is sponsoring this event? This event is made possible by Ernst & Young.
