At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. To review the research on the associations between racism and child physical, mental, and behavioral health and development.
  2. To identify the various models that help explain both the role of racism in children's health, and how a psychosocial stressor such as racism might β€œget under the skin” to contribute to poor health outcomes as well as racial and ethnic health disparities throughout the life course.
  3. To discuss how professionals can help mitigate the effects of racial discrimination on child health and development.
  4. To identify directions for future research on racism and child health.
