Diaper Need in the US: A Public Health Issue We Can Solve

Please join an upcoming webinar featuring the National Diaper Bank Network and ZERO TO THREE to learn more about the impact of diaper need. One in three US families with young children struggles to provide enough diapers to keep a baby or toddler clean, dry, and healthy.  The cost of diapers hits low-wage families the hardest, and the lack of comprehensive policies in support of this basic need weighs heavily on families. The economic impacts of the pandemic have exacerbated this growing public health issue and has also brought new awareness of diaper need and potential solutions through in-depth reporting across the country, such as this recent article.

This webinar will:

  • Provide an overview of the range of policy solutions that could provide equitable access to these material basic necessities that all babies require to develop and thrive;
  • Discuss ways stakeholders can help bring awareness to diaper need in their respective communities; and
  • Explain how diaper need correlates with other public health issues experienced by babies and families.

When: Friday, January 7, 2022 1:00 pm ET

Speakers:

  • Joanne Goldblum, CEO and Founder, National Diaper Bank Network
  • Jamie Colvard, Director of State Policy, ZERO TO THREE
  • Phillip Vander Klay, Director of Policy, National Diaper Bank Network
