IMG_8762IMG_8767 [3)Please help us distribute the attached pamphlet written for parents and caregivers with the assistance of the Boston University School of Public Health, the Boston University School of Social Work, the Child Trauma Training Center at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, the Parent/Professional Advocacy League and two parent focus groups.  The parents told us the information could be "life changing."

I am currently working on simplifying the language of a Spanish version.  If you would like additional information, have suggestions or questions, please contact me:  Katherine Hughes, JD, MSW, LICSW, Parent Child Trauma Resources Lead, hughesk.pctr@gmail.com.

I am also interested in research regarding the most effective ways to engage parents of traumatized children, and appreciate information on current, on-going research.

Thank you.

Hi Missy, Yes, it is fine to share in Wisconsin -- I just ask that you let me know who you are sharing it with?  From an agency?  And also, you'll note the resources are Massachusetts-specific.  If you do use it and change the resources to Wisconsin resources, I would also appreciate if you would email me a copy of the new version.  We plan to send out a survey to people using it in the new year.  Thank you!

Hello Katherine, I'm surprised many folks here in my state of Michigan are not ACE aware. I'm a human trafficking Survivor and Governor appointed to a government board. I will be speaking to a legislative committee here in Michigan next week.  My talk is my story but I'm inserting how human trafficking is connected to Aces. I think this pamphlet would be a good hand out, not only for this committee but in general. I intend to share it. Thank you so much for these resources.

Thank you so much!  Just please note the resources are specific to Massachusetts so to be useful in Michigan you will need to substitute local resources.  I hope you will follow up and let me know how your talk with the legislative committee goes.  It sounds like you are doing very good work.  I’m trying to track where it goes and who is using it so appreciate your help.  Thank you.

Here is a link to where I'm speaking and handing out your pamphlet. By handing this out to the committee members I just want to show how behind Michigan is. I will keep you posted. The meeting will be recorded so I'll send you a link when it's available. Thank you
