Hi Everyone,

I hope this finds you well.

I am working with an advice giving organisation who help people with their rights and provide information to help them solve problems related to housing, debt, legal & justice, family problems, immigration and health issues.

We are interested to know about any other organisations who provide similar services to the public and have embraced trauma informed working.

Any ideas, connections, introductions or written reports on the journey or impact would would be incredibly helpful and hugely appreciated.

Thank you for considering this and best wishes

Warren

One organization you may want to consider is the National Center for Medical Legal Partnership based in the US. They partner with health systems to address social needs which impact patient health. Attached is one of their resources for justice involved people.

Here is a description copied from their website (linked above):
The National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership leads education, research, and technical assistance efforts to help every health organization in the United States leverage legal services as a standard part of the way they respond to social needs. Read more about a few of our recent initiatives.

We’re helping to build an integrated health care system that better addresses health-harming social needs by leveraging legal services and expertise to advance individual and population health.

Medical-legal partnerships integrate the unique expertise of lawyers into health care settings to help clinicians, case managers, and social workers address structural problems at the root of so many health inequities.

Please share how your work evolves!
Thank you,
