I highly recommend this Ted Talk from my friend and elected DA of Wilmington NC, Ben David.  https://www.ted.com/talks/ben_...root_causes_of_crime

Also while working for police developed Trauma Informed Policing Training that I've delivered to numerous police departments including the TN Association of Chiefs of Police who are making it available to every officer in the state of TN.  This training is POST Certified in TN as officer in-service credit.  You can learn more on my website at https://beckyhaas.com

It's perhaps not exactly about policing, but it is of course related to it: the amazing work of the Compassion Prison Project in US prisons. Knowledge about ACEs is used extensively to make both programs and individuals trauma-informed.

You can find information on the project's website, which includes information about ACEs, interviews with leading trauma specialists (in the podcast section) and two short documentary videos that may be useful for you to show (at the bottom of this page: https://compassionprisonprojec...g/the-documentaries/ ).

Good luck!
