We are thrilled to share that SAM NOW will make its national broadcast premiere on PBS Independent Lens on Monday, May 8. Watch on live TV or stream free on the PBS App and online here starting at 10/9c.

After 25 years in the making, we are overjoyed that everyone will finally be able to see this film and we are grateful to the members of this community who have seen Sam Now in theaters, been in touch with us about bringing the film to your communities and more. It was an incredible experience sharing the film with audiences in person from coast-to-coast and discuss the themes of the film with an amazing group of expert panelists. And we were recently selected as a Critic's Pick in The New York Times!

I want to extend a few special invites to this community:

NOW YOU Virtual Resource Fair: We know that Sam Now not only sparks constructive conversations, but challenges people to focus on their own ways of coping. Many of the themes the film grapples with – mental health, family dynamics and intergenerational trauma – can be spots of tension or deep stress. We’d love to direct our audience to resources and support to navigate or explore their own story. We invite our partners and friends to participate in a virtual resource fair on Twitter by sharing your resources and work using the #SamNowPBS hashtag during the premiere.
