Hi, I'm looking for resources and suggestions specifically around healing for advocates who are on the front lines of School Board meetings and the current culture wars around issues in schools. Our community has spun out of control with people acting in ways that are extremely triggering to those who advocate for equity, safety and health. We had several volunteer community advocates who literally were having panic attacks during a School Board meeting because of actions taken by those who want to make the news with sensational stunts.

I know there is "self care" but I'm looking for resources specifically for community advocates (ie not professionals, volunteers who give their time to fight back) on how we can create safe and healing spaces for our community advocates.

maybe talk to each other?  one of the most important things that I learned from the old time doctors we had in the past who actually cared about their pediatric patients was that Parents who care about their kids is the most important asset we have and that it is always important to listen to parents.  I see way too many parents now who care deeply about their kids being demonized and even called terrorists by government (which is totally not appropriate).  kids need parents who care about them.  we would all be doing a lot better if we had more parents who care about their kids.   the biggest problem in our society is the destruction of the family and of good, healthy parenting.

I hope you find the resources you are looking for.
