Prince George’s County, MD PACEs Chapter

Good Evening to All,

In consultation with Claudia Remington, one of our community managers of MD PACEs, I am reaching out to Prince George’s County, MD educators, parents, community, faith and business leaders, government leaders and/or their staff, those in in the justice system, medical field, social and child protective services, and anyone else who would be in interested in forming/joining a Prince George’s County PACEs chapter. I am registered for the “Welcome to PACEs! Website and Community Overview” webinar on 11/29.

I posted this on MD PACEs a few days ago, but haven't received any responses. I know this is a busy time for many, but I thought if I posted here, more folks would see it. I would love for anyone to join me who is committed to raising awareness of ACEs, PACEs, Trauma-Informed Care, building resilience in children and their families, and healing centered approaches in our PG County communities. Hello, Cherry. Several years ago, I was involved in trying to start a trauma-informed community in DC. While we organized a number of well-attended and well-received community events, the effort was not sustained. I am now interested in what can be done at a neighborhood level--in Mt. Pleasant where I now live. I'd love to be in touch with you as you explore the possibility of a Trauma-Informed PG County. Best, Elizabeth

To all who replied to my initial post here and sent me private messages, I am so excited by your interest to join me in this endeavor. As an fyi, Ms. Cebulla, a PACEs connection staff member, has graciously agreed to meet with me on Friday 12/10 to provide some direction. I will reach back out to everyone after we meet. I have my own zoom, so maybe we can meet via that after Ms. Cebulla and I meet. I am super excited to work with you all!
