Share Your Positive Childhood Experiences

Good morning PACEs Connection!

One of the ways our local community is working to raise awareness of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) is through an upcoming week-long awareness campaign in November. We are collaborating with Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) through various media campaigns and we need YOUR HELP!

We would like to get brief testimonials of positive childhood experiences. They can be:

20-30 second video clips of you, friends, or family (that would like to participate), answering the following questions:

  1. Who has had the greatest positive impact in your life and why?
  2. What is your happiest childhood memory?
  3. What did you want the most from the adults in your life growing up / What do you want the most from the adults in your life?

OR you can you can share your experiences as written responses via the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PCEsCampaign.

If you choose video, here are the parameters:

  • 20-30 second responses!!
  • All videos should be horizontal.
  • All ages are welcome to participate: 2 yrs old and over! (or if they can talk sooner, lol)
  • When you start the video, use 5 seconds at the beginning to state which question someone is answering.

Written responses can be "Anonymous" or you can choose to provide your name.

Attached is the Florida Department of Health Photo & Video Release Form. This must be signed and dated by each person (or parent/guardian) before you record them to ensure their consent is documented.

Please email your videos to HealthyCharlotte@flhealth.gov.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or comments.

Thank you,
