Building Blocks of Resilience

  1. Calming yourself
  2. Choosing a strategy – Reframe the challenge, change the situation, accept what is
  3. Solving problems – Problem solving “muscles:” Positivity, Confidence, Connection, Experimenting, Structure, Priorities, Creativity
  4. Managing energy – physical, emotional, mental, spiritual (connection to meaning and something bigger than ourselves)

 

Dr. Hoopes also describes how to develop a "Challenge Map" to help you better understand the challenges you are facing.
