"Broken Places" - A Film About ACEs and Resilience

The Van Buren Resilience Project is presenting the film "Broken Places".  It is about adversity in early life and its effects on our children and older people.  It is also about resilience and the ways in which families and communities can join together to help their young and older members succeed in life despite their earlier adversities.  It addresses the question: "Why are some children permanently damaged by early adversity while others are able to thrive?"

This 76-minute film will be presented at the Community Center (130 Champlain St) in the Conference Room.   Families, parents, grandparents, seniors, and any other interested people are all invited to attend.  There will be activities available for the youngsters in the gym,  NHS students will lead the activities (and, of course, there will be prizes and souvenirs).
