Trauma Messaging Workshop comes to the Northern Region!

 

ATTENTION those in Plumas, Glenn, Colusa, Modoc and Trinity COUNTIES! There is no one attending from your county, if you are interested in shifting change around Trauma in your county, this is the workshop you want to attend.

This FREE training on effective messaging for ACEs and the importance of trauma informed work will be held on Tuesday, May 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Butte County Health Department, Tahoe Conference Room located at 202 Mira Loma Boulevard in Oroville, California.  Berkeley Media Studies Group is partnering with ACEsConnection, Essentials for Childhood Initiative from the California Department of Public Health and the Lucille Packard Foundation for Children’s Health:Kid's Data.org to deliver this training.

Four of these workshops will be held regionally across our state.  Our region is the first to get these resources!

Participants will:

  1. Craft and deliver effective messages on the importance of trauma-informed work.
  1. Build communications skills to help describe ACEs science
  2. Be able to make the case for why a discussion about trauma must be incorporated into programs across a variety of sectors. 
  3. Use childhood adversity and resilience data from Kidsdata.org to communicate the burden of adversity in communities. 

This training is FREE and includes lunch.
