Updated PACEs Connection resource: State ACEs and Trauma-Informed Laws and Resolutions Map

PACEs Connection is excited to share our updated interactive State ACEs and Trauma-Informed Laws and Resolutions Map. This resource catalogs all state laws and resolutions related to ACEs and trauma-informed care. The information is available in three easy-to-use formats:
  • For those of you who want to see laws and resolutions passed in a particular state, we have created a clickable map.
  • If you would like to play with the data and explore in more detail, the information is also available in a table format.
  • You can also download a PDF with the information below.
If you would like to learn more about recent developments in this area, please read 2011-2021—Update on a decade of steady growth in PACEs, ACEs and TI laws and resolutions in the states. This article shows the steady growth in ACEs and Trauma-Informed laws and resolutions that has continued since the last snapshot in PACEs Connection in June 2021. That article reported that state legislatures and governors in dozens of states enacted nearly 60 laws and resolutions that especially reference adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) or trauma in the years 2019 and 2020. A new tally shows that in 2021 alone, another 36 laws passed plus one more enacted in New Jersey in 2022.
