After arriving Tuesday evening, "The Wall That Heals" was erected earlier today in a coordinated volunteer effort that took approximately 6 hours to complete. It is located behind Siuslaw Middle School, where it will remain for public viewing through Sunday (April 7). The traveling Vietnam War Memorial replica that tours the country is being coordinated through the efforts of Spruce Point Assisting Living Care & Memory Care and is free to the public.

The Wall's display schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday – April 3There was a soft opening scheduled for 2 p.m. while certain items were being finished. This will be followed by a volunteer training at 6 p.m.

• Thursday through Saturday — April 4-6: The Wall That Heals is open to the public 24 hours a day with volunteer staff on duty.
