This conference will cover addictions, but also the related issues of adverse childhood experiences, resilience and trauma informed practices. ACES: Educators Present on Child Abuse: South Boston Online

Jeannette Fodness, Meg Rieley and I went to Boston to present at the ASCD conference--a large (@ 7000 I believe) conference for educators and administrators. Mind Altering: Child Abuse Prevention Month Film Series

On Dec. 7 and 8 we had a Conference for Trauma-Informed Communities at Chisuk Emuna Synagogue in Harrisburg. We spent Thursday evening watching and discussing the film entitled Resilience. Building a Trauma-Informed Community

On December 7 from 6-8:30 pm we will show the film Resilience followed on December 8 from 8-4 for a discussion of Building a Trauma-Informed Community. Our keynote speakers are Aquarius Gilmer from Region III of HHS and Dr. Hasshan Batts who has extensive experience in community and trauma-informed work.
