Described by clinical psychologist and Buddhist teacher Jack Kornfield as “just brilliant,” Cracked Up bears witness to the impact adverse childhood experiences can have across a lifetime through the incredible story of actor, comedian, master impressionist, and Saturday Night Live veteran, Darrell Hammond. Behind the scenes Darrell suffered from debilitating flashbacks, self injury, addiction, and misdiagnosis, until the right doctor isolated the key to unlocking the memories his brain kept locked away for over 50 years. Cracked Up creates an inspiring balance between comedy and tragedy, helping us understand the effects of childhood trauma in a new light, breaking down barriers of stigma, and replacing shame with compassion and hope.

Darrell Hammond holds the title for being the longest running cast member on Saturday Night Live. He has brought to life a cavalcade of politicians, media figures, celebrities, and newsmakers through his impressions. Amongst them include Bill Clinton, Sean Connery, Regis Philbin, John Travolta, Jay Leno, and Donald Trump. Darrell is known for being one of the most prolific comedians of his time.

Mike Ritter, DVI public education coordinator, will moderate the discussion. He has been a domestic violence victim advocate and violence preventionist in the Lebanon community for the past ten years, and holds certification as a trauma-competent professional from Lakeside Global Institute.
