Vista Health Center Welcomes Community and Providers to Trauma Informed Workshops

Starting in May 2016, Roseland Pediatrics pediatrician Dr. Meredith Kieschnick will be offering monthly Wednesday trainings for providers and staff of Santa Rosa Community Health Centers on components of
trauma-informed care and related issues.

Trainings are from 12:30pm to 1:30pm and held at our Vista Family Health Center site in Conference Room A. Topics will rotate, with each training session covering one topic. Training topics include:

  • Introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences
  • Sensitive Screening Administration for Trauma & Resiliency
  • Understanding & Preventing Vicarious Trauma
  • Embracing the Trauma-Informed Model of Care in the Community
  • Resources & Tools for Trauma-Informed Settings

May 11th -Introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences
June 8th -Sensitive Screening Administration for Trauma & Resiliency
July 13th -Resources & Tools for Trauma-Informed Settings
August 10th -Understanding & Preventing Vicarious Trauma
September 14th -Embracing the Trauma-Informed Model of Care in the Community

*Series will repeat once again
October 12th -Introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences
November 9th-Sensitive Screening Administration for Trauma & Resiliency
December 14th -Resources & Tools for Trauma-Informed Settings
January 11th -Understanding & Preventing Vicarious Trauma
February 8th -Embracing the Trauma-Informed Model of Care in the Community
