“Every dollar we put into high-quality early childhood education we get $7 back in reduced teen pregnancy, improved graduation rates, improved performance in school, reduced incarceration rates. The society as a whole does better.” President, Barack Obama

Studies show that early childhood education is one of the best investments we can make, yet the Russian River Area one of the lowest rates of 3-4 year old children enrolled in public or private school in Sonoma county.

The Russian River Cradle to Career Collaborative is hosting an "Are We Crazy About Our Kids" film screening and panel discussion during the Week of the Young Child on Thursday, April 27th at the Rio Theater in Monte Rio. This documentary brings to life critical studies by renowned economists and Nobel laureates to showcase why investing in early childhood education is so vital. The panel of local early childhood education stakeholders and experts will discuss local challenges and opportunities to support the development of the next generation of leaders, workers and community members.

Come learn about this key issue and how you can join the effort to help ensure that every child in the lower Russian River Area has access to high quality early childhood education that supports their success. Please also share with anyone who might be interested.
