Today! Virtual Mandated Reporter Training!

Today!
Mandated reporters play a vital role in protecting children.

The California Legislature has designated teachers, instructional aides, social workers, child care and health care providers, police officers, foster parents, and others as mandated reporters. Are you uncertain if you are a designated Mandated Reporter? Click here to view a complete list of designated Mandated Reporters in California. Although anyone who suspects a child is being maltreated can, and should, file a 51A report with Child Protective Services, Mandated Reporters are required by law to do so.This training is free to participants and will provide Mandated Reporters with the tools they need to recognize and respond to abuse and neglect.

Facilitator Angeline Zufelt, a Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), is recognized as an expert in the identification of child abuse and neglect by the Siskiyou County Court and has helped in the prosecution of multiple child sexual abuse cases. She has worked for Siskiyou County for 18 years,13 of which have been in a variety of roles dedicated to serving children and families at the Siskiyou County Child Welfare Agency. Angeline was named Outstanding Social Worker for the Northern Region by the California State Foster Parents Association (CSFPA). She is currently enrolled in graduate studies in the Master of Social Work Program at Humboldt State University with an emphasis in Indigenous and Rural Studies.
