Trauma Informed SLO Meeting

Transitions Mental Health Association (TMHA) and DSS partnered with the Trauma- Informed SLO Collaborative to contract with Becca Carsel/Natalie Rhodes to conduct a community strength and needs assessment. This assessment is related to the provision of trauma informed services/practices/resources in our community. A county- wide survey and focus groups were completed, along with research on trauma informed care community models. Particular emphasis was placed on assessing the wellbeing of our workforce and opportunities to support public serving individuals, professionals, and agencies. Additionally, information on current practices and outcomes from various organizations were solicited with intent to leverage across agencies and our community as appropriate/available.

Becca Carsel and Natalie Rhodes will present the findings of this assessment along with recommendations for next steps. We would like to invite you to the presentation. The TI-SLO collaborative identified this assessment as a priority need to help determine next steps in community collaboration toward equitable, inclusive and responses services for our staff and the children and families we collectively serve.

Our goal is to gain greater understanding, leverage expertise and resources, assess gaps in service provision and to identify models/practices our community we may want to consider.

We hope you can join us in receiving this information and planning next steps for our community.
