Trauma Informed SLO Meeting

Please join us for the next Trauma Informed SLO meeting on Thursday, March 28th, from 1:30 – 3:00 PM.

In addition to Sticks and Stones and Shared Community Training Calendar updates we’re excited to share with you the following presentations:

Fresno Community Health Improvement Partnership

Ashlee Hernandez will present information on the Fresno Community Health Improvement Partnership. Launched in 2019, this collective network of organizations meets monthly and guides Fresno County to encompass a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach within their region. Within the network exists a menu of individuals and organizations providing training on topics such as:

  • Trauma-informed care
  • ACEs and toxic stress
  • Community resilience
  • Grounding and mindfulness
  • Cultural humility

Grounded in this ongoing learning and adaptation of practice, the partners are equipping the community to address the day-to-day struggles of their kids, families, and neighborhoods, including listening and learning from the very community they work to build power in.

Trauma Informed Practices Survey Results

Becca Carsel will present the results of our TI-SLO needs assessment’s survey of local organizations. Over 50 organizations and departments responded to the survey, which asked what they already have in place internally around TIC staff training, staff and client policies, and leadership; what needs they have; and how Trauma-Informed SLO might help. Becca will be sharing the highlights and asking for your reactions and input as we enter the next phase of the needs assessment.
